Submissions

We welcome submissions from both new and published authors. We consider every submission we receive, and aim to reply to all submissions as quickly as possible.

We are currently accepting submissions in the following categories:

  • Horror / Dark Fantasy fiction

  • Horror / Dark Fantasy YA Fiction

  • Children’s books with subtle horror themes

  • Horror / Dark Fantasy screenplays for film and television

  • Horror / Dark Fantasy Graphic Novels

  • Horror Non-fiction
     

Please read through our guidelines carefully before sending your manuscript. For useful tips on writing your covering letter, please click here.

 

How to submit fiction:

  • Please note we only accept submissions via email.
     

  • Please include your covering letter in the body of your email, including the manuscript’s word count.
     

  • Please attach just one Word document that includes the following:
     

    • A brief synopsis of the entire plot (including all major plot markers – don’t worry about spoiling the story for us). This should be no more than two sides of A4.
       

    • The first three chapters or equivalent for your particular format (standard font size 12, double-line spaced).
       

    • If your submission is for a children’s book and consists of no more than 3,000 words, please attach the entire manuscript.
       

  • Please format the attached file name as follows:

    • [Manuscript title – Your full name]

How to submit non-fiction:

  • Please note we only accept submissions via email.
     

  • Please include your covering letter in the body of your email, including the word count or projected word count.
     

  • Please attach the following Word documents to your email:

    • A proposal

    • A short synopsis

    • Your up-to-date CV
       

  • Please format the attached file names as follows:

    • Proposal - [Manuscript title – Your full name]

    • Synopsis – [Manuscript Title – Your full name]

    • CV – [Manuscript title – Your full name]

Submitting a screenplay:

  • Please note we only accept screenplay submissions via email.
     

  • Please include your covering letter in the body of your email.
     

  • Please attach just one Word document that includes the following:
     

    • A brief synopsis of the entire plot - including all major plot markers. This should be no more than two sides of A4.
       

    • For standalone TV screenplays - please submit the complete manuscript.

    • For episodic TV screenplays - please submit the complete manuscript for the pilot only.

    • For feature film screenplays - please submit the first 50 pages of the manuscript.
