Agent Profiles

Andreas Charalambous

Andreas was born in 1978 and has always maintained a captivation with the horror genre. He spent his youth immersing himself in the genre – reading and watching as much horror literature, film and television as possible – where he would enthusiastically discuss the genre with anyone who would care to listen. The horror genre has been a constant throughout Andreas’ life, and he would bring it into his work whenever he could take the opportunity. He has written on the genre throughout his education – from his Undergraduate degree in Media Production Management, his Post-Graduate Masters Degree in Mass Communication, and in conducting original research as part of his PhD. Now as founder and managing director of Dark House Literary & Screen Agency, Andreas is highly motivated to help establish and nurture the careers of a small stable of highly-talented horror authors and creatives. Andreas has decades-worth of experience working in the horror genre, both as a professional and as an academic. During this time, he has developed his expertise in the genre and has also established an impressive professional network of contacts which he can utilise when representing his roster of horror creatives. Always working on the principle of ‘quality’ over ‘quantity’ Andreas feels he has a sense of responsibility to maintain a high reputational standard for the genre he feels so passionate about, and is always in search of the most talented clients that will make valuable contributions in achieving this. With Dark House now in its infancy, Andreas is excited at the thought of building the agency’s reputation as a powerhouse representing both established genre creatives and discovering the next exceptional horror talent.
