Founded in London in 2023, Dark House Literary & Screen Agency is dedicated to discovering distinctive voices in horror, dark fantasy, supernatural fiction and related genres.
 

Our mission is to champion exceptional voices in horror, dark fantasy and speculative fiction, bringing distinctive work to the attention of publishers with the vision, reach and expertise to develop lasting author careers.

Dark House receives submissions from writers across the United Kingdom and internationally, but our focus is not on volume. We take a deliberately selective approach to representation, working closely with a focused list of clients to develop outstanding manuscripts, shape long-term publishing careers and place distinctive projects with the publishers best suited to them.
 

Our approach combines editorial insight with commercial awareness. Every manuscript is considered not only for the quality of its writing and storytelling, but also for its market positioning, publishing potential and long-term career prospects.
 

We are particularly interested in atmospheric horror, folk horror, dark fantasy, supernatural fiction, psychological suspense, gothic fiction, speculative fiction and genre-defying works that explore the darker corners of the imagination.

• Building a carefully selected list of represented authors.
• Developing client manuscripts for submission to publishers.
• Expanding relationships with publishers specialising in horror, fantasy and speculative fiction.
• Identifying the most commercially and creatively distinctive voices emerging in the genre market.
